About the Project

The 3D Printing project is supporting a small group of Teachers of the Visually Impaired explore the acquisition, modification, or creation of 3D printed models to support students who have visual impairments. This project is designed to support a provincial collaboration of TVIs interested in working together to both address the needs of the specific students they support but, in partnership with the PRCVI alternate format team, contribute to the provincial collection of 3D model designs.

Equipment support from SET-BC:

  • 1 Tinkerine Ditto Pro 3D printer
  • Filament (5 rolls)
  • 1 Macbook Pro OR 1 Win 10 Surface Pro
  • 3D printing / modeling software

The teams are located in:

  • SD33 – Chilliwack
  • SD46 – Sunshine Coast
  • SD71 – Comox Valley
  • SD78 – Fraser Casecade
  • SD93 – Conseil scolaire francophone de la Colombie-Britannique
