About Me I began my career teaching French, ESL and Business Education at the secondary level. After twelve years of secondary school teaching and a few years off to spend with my family, I changed gears to pursue course-work in Computer Based Learning and Teacher-Librarianship. I returned to teaching at the Elementary level first working in a school library and then moving on to work as a Resource Teacher supporting students from Kindergarten to Grade 7. I have used technology extensively and with much success to support my students, to break down barriers and provide ease of access to curriculum.
The past seven years at SET-BC have been a both a challenging and satisfying learning experience. My Interests: I happily spend a good deal of time with my husband, two children and pets, taking long walks and discovering and exploring historic houses. My work tends to mesh with my home life, however, as I spend a good deal of time and very much enjoy researching new technologies and how they can support individuals with learning and physical challenges. I firmly believe in an inclusive and accommodating world that allows people to share their individual strengths and allows for differences that are not always visible.
