After graduating from Simon Fraser University I had the opportunity to teach at both the elementary and secondary level in the classroom, as a learning support teacher, and as a resource teacher. Upon completion of my Masters of Education in Special Education from the University of British Columbia I worked as a District Inclusion Support Teacher, and most recently held the position of District Coordinator for Diversity Education with the Kamloops-Thompson School District.
I am very passionate about meaningful inclusion, and the value of diversity in our classrooms. I am constantly inspired by the students I work with, and believe in the contributions they can make in their classrooms and community. I am excited to continue to collaborate with colleagues to plan for all learners, and explore how effective technology implementation can support students’ diverse learning needs.
